Big TV
Cable and DTH viewers are set to get a wider choice, with Anil Ambani Group firm Reliance Communications has already started nationwide commercial operations of its DTH service from Aug 18, 2008. ‘Big Digital TV DTH’, a subsidiary of RComm, is betting big on the huge potential of home entertainment in the Indian households.

Bharti DTH
Bharti Group, which runs India’s biggest mobile phone services firm by customers, plans to launch a direct-to-home or DTH television service within eight weeks and aims to boost its distribution reach for the new service by leveraging the nearly one million retail outlets where it sells prepaid phone recharge cards, a group executive said.

Videocon DTH
Videocon Industries expects to start its direct-to-home television services by September, Chairman Venugopal Dhoot said.

Sun Direct
Chennai-based direct-to-home service provider Sun Direct TV is embarking on a pan India expansion with an aim to become the second largest DTH player in the country by the end of this fiscal with three million subscribers.
