Duration: Twelve Months
Class Schedule : 8.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. Monday through Friday (5 days a week).

Last date for Application : July 19, 2008
Admission Test/Interviews : 10.00 a.m. Sunday July 27, 2008
Last Date for remitting fee : August 4, 2008
Classes begin from : August 11, 2008

The next ten years will see the business in India’s travel and tourism sector growing at 8.8% per annum, one of the highest in the world. This was projected by the World Travel and Tourism council’s research in the 4th Global Travel and Tourism Summit held in Doha.

India is shining in the list of top 10 travel and tourism economies in the world. India’s travel and tourism is expected to generate US$ 38.8 billion of economic activity. In this ever growing industry scenario, it is expected to generate increasing need for a large pool of professionally trained personnel to handle the industry. In this context this initiative of launching the specially designed Diploma programme by Ahmedabad Management Association and Tourism Corporation of Gujarat will help a large number of young men and women in Gujarat to study and take up a career in Travel and Hospitality Industry.

Class Schedule : 8.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. Monday through Friday (5 days a week).
There will be continuous evaluation throughout the course. Students who are falling in attendances and grades will be terminated from the programme. Library assignment, Project work etc. will be scheduled in the afternoon.

Faculty : A team of qualified professionals will conduct the programme.

Qualification : Graduation in any area. Students in the final year of graduation doing distance learning or e-learning could also apply. However, the Diploma will be issued only on completion of graduation.

Fee : Rs.15,000/- per participant. The cheque may please be drawn in the name of ‘Ahmedabad Management Association.’

Employment Opportunities : Successful students will be able to get placement in Travel and Tourism establishments, Hotels, Airlines, Corporate Guest Houses, PR Departments etc. Participants will also gain adequate knowledge to set up own Travel / Tourism establishments.

Other Facilities : Being a professional organization AMA is having several educational programmes and activities. Students will be encouraged to take part in such activities. The course aims to provide an overall development of students.

TCGL-AMA Centre for Tourism and Hospitality Management
TCGL-AMA Centre for Tourism and Hospitality has been set-up with the contribution from Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Ltd. for promoting education and training in Tourism and Hospitality Management. The Centre will conduct a Diploma Programme in Tourism and Hospitality Management and several other training programmes in Tourism and related fields. The focus of the centre is to develop a cadre of trained professionals for Tourism industry.
